​Dendelion, Baraban, Léonto, and Taraxa, four dandelion achenes that survived a series of nuclear explosions destroying Earth, are propelled into the cosmos. After crashing onto an unknown planet, they set out in search of soil suitable for the survival of their species. But the elements, the fauna, the flora, and the climate are all obstacles they will have to overcome.

The film Dandelion’s Odyssey (French title: Planètes), directed by Momoko Seto, a filmmaker at the CNRS affiliated with the Center for Research on Arts and Language (CRAL – EHESS/CNRS), and selected as the closing film of the Critics’ Week in Cannes, received the prize of the International Federation of Film Critics.

We chose this film for the great editing and the use of particular techniques of image that combine classic and modern animation forms.
