Made in China follows François, a young French man of Chinese descent who has cut ties with his family for years. When he learns that he is about to become a father, he decides it’s time to reconnect with his roots and mend his relationship with his estranged relatives.

Encouraged (and sometimes pressured) by his best friend, François returns to Paris’s Chinatown to face his past — including his stubborn father and his eccentric uncle. What begins as an awkward and emotional reunion slowly turns into a humorous and heartfelt rediscovery of identity, family, and cultural heritage.

Through misunderstandings, generational clashes, and moments of tenderness, François learns to accept both sides of his identity. The film is a warm comedy about reconciliation, self-acceptance, and the importance of family ties.
