An Zéro – Comment le Luxembourg a disparu explores the hypothetical scenario of a major nuclear accident at the French–Luxembourg border. The film imagines what would happen if, overnight, an entire country — Luxembourg — ceased to exist. Beyond the immediate environmental destruction and health impacts, the documentary examines the far-reaching economic, legal, political, social, and cultural consequences of such a disaster. It highlights how the disappearance of a state would mean the loss of a language, a culture, and an economic space, revealing the profound fragility of national identity in the face of catastrophic events.
